Dressing for Brunch

The lovely Alessia from Luello's blog contributed the following guest post. Check out her posts here.

Sitting on a terrace, basking in the morning sunlight, catching up over mimosas and indulging in a pancake or two. The summer months mean more sunlight and more time spent with friends -- both of which result in more happiness!

We firmly believe that there’s a time and a place for every outfit. Your LBD is better suited for the evening, and your joggers should remain in the gym. When it comes to dressing for a leisurely brunch, follow this simple style guide!

Blazer, denim, tee, sandals, sunglasses, nail polish

Wear a well-fitted blazer that will class up your casual look. Choose a plain white deep V-Neck tee for underneath your blazer to keep your outfit from looking too dressed-up. Choose form-fitting denim skinnies in a medium wash to keep your outing comfortable and casual.

Accessories can make or break an outfit! Choose a pair of fun sunglasses in shades of brown to both lighten up your face and protect your eyes from the glaring sun! Opt for a cute pair of simple sandals that are chic, but relaxed. Bright colors are in for nails this season, so drop your metallics and neutrals and instead choose a stand-out
shade of pink! Lastly, top of your look with a floppy hat (a la Rumi Neely from
Fashiontoast
) and channel the laid-back California look with messy, wavy hair!

Keep it simple-chic!
