While I hope you excuse the cheesy title, I do want to draw your attention toward my cleaned up new hairstyle. It's nothing drastically different from what I've had for the past six months or so, but I do feel more like a human being now that the frayed ends are gone. I have Mika Fowler -- over at Gavert | Atelier -- to thank! My entire hair experience there was to die for, from the massage chair in which I got my hair washed to the pink champagne I got to sip and the impeccable service I received. Mika quickly and adeptly shaped my hair to frame my face, cutting a few pieces shorter in the front for a "European" look, as she called it. What surprised me a little is the fact that she blow dried my hair before she went to work, which is different than 99% of the salons I've ever been to. The reason she does the dry cut is to maintain the hair's style and health.
We chatted as if we had been friends for a while, talking about everything from her photo shoot with Olivia Munn the previous day (she's a regular client) to male strip clubs and donating hair to cancer patients. I can see myself divulging more and more information with each visit, too... I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Mika. I highly recommend you pay her a visit if your hair is in need of a little pick-me-up!
