Behind-the-Scenes

Bryan and Mae shoot Live Love LA from Nikoleta Panteva on Vimeo.

Many, many thanks to Bryan and Mae for the fun shoot this weekend! And to my boyfriend who shot the video (and accompanying photos) and acted as key grip throughout the entire process. I don't know where I'd be without ya, boo!

French Style

Forever 21 jacket (similar)| Banana Republic top | Bloom necklace | Hudson jeans (c/o, similar) | Sole Society shoes (c/o)

Jeans, striped tee, killer platforms: nothing easier or more flattering than this French-inspired combination. One of my favorite weekend outfits... the red lip keeps it classic while the bomber jacket takes it to an edgier level. Best of both worlds!

Spring Shoes: $50 and Under

If you know anything about me, it's that I'm slightly shoe crazy. I always look forward to new seasons because they act as somewhat of an excuse to stock up on new styles. But, realistically, we can't all afford new Tributes every season. So here are five budget-friendly picks for Spring 2012. You can see I'm leaning toward platforms in bright colors (and a sensible choice for those heavy-walking days). It's easy to amp up a simple jeans-and-tee look just by adding colorful heels!

What is your favorite shoe trend of the moment?

1. Crushing Hard Platform Heels $38
2. Sherbet Colorblock Wedge $46
3. Aldo Pollen $40
4. Pulse Wedge $20
5. Crossing City Streets Burgundy Platforms $42

How to Wear a White Button-Up

The white button-down: every girl has at least one in her closet. This video does an amazing job of showing how versatile it really is! Styled by celebrity stylist Monica Rose and featuring none other than cute-as-a-button Geri, this is hands down, one of my favorite videos on the web. Hope you like!

Hyde Lounge, Las Vegas

Forever 21 jacket and tunic, Brooklyn Industries skirt (c/o), Sole Society shoes (c/o)

Spent last Sunday lazying about on Hyde's luxurious couches, watching Deadmau5 close out the Grammys. It's a little eerie seeing Vegas so quiet when I'm used to hoards of party-goers clogging up every possible entrance. It was nice though: the calm before the MAGIC storm.

Hana Hair Dryer

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Misikko to see if I would like to review one of their hair dryers. Honestly, I was stoked because I had just gotten my bangs cut knew that my old rinky-dink one just wouldn't cut it (it wouldn't allow me to turn it back on after using it for 30 seconds). I gladly accepted the offer and waited patiently for my package to arrive.

When my new toy came in, I ripped the package open, only to be surprised by the thousands of other goodies included. Everything from styling products to sweet-smelling rose petals. If I had to judge on presentation alone, I'd definitely order from them again!

But the awesome part is that the dryer is amazing! I was so used to having hot air blasted at my hair that I was a little taken aback when comfortably warm air greeted me. It makes sense now: I constantly had split ends because I was abusing my hair with heat! This dryer is great because it lets you control the temperature and the speed of the air your hair is getting. It also comes with a concentrated nozzle to help in styling small sections of hair (like bangs). I'm in love and I look forward to using my new Hana hair dryer for a long time!

Nasty Gal Inspires Summer Outfits

I was doing the usual Tuesday night thing when I came across Nasty Gal's February new arrivals. While cuddled up under my two blankets, I couldn't help but picture myself on vacation, sporting a healthy glow and any one of these ensembles. This is not at all a sponsored post. I was just that inspired!

1. Geneva Floral Blouse: Saturday afternoon, refined.
2. Elaine Dress: Coachella? Possibly. Date night? Definitely.
3. Chiffon Back Blazer: Perfect for warm days when you're switching from air conditioned stores to sun-kissed boardwalks.
4. Work It Blazer: Pink on pink, a fresh take on business casual.
5. Straight Up Dress: Picturing it with my Tributes out at a fancy dinner.

I deeply apologize for the low quality of these photos. All I can say is that I have a schedule far too busy for regular outfit shots these days, but that sounds like an excuse. So... yeah. I'll do better next week, I promise!

In the meantime, would you please make my Friday and "heart" my entry on Refinery 29's Style Blogger contest? Just look for Nikoleta and click the little heart up in the lefthand corner. Thank you guys a million!

Little Black Bag

Have you heard of Little Black Bag? The site launched this week; its concept is novel and the pieces are fun! I got a chance to fill up my bag a couple of weeks ago, so I'm here to tell you a little bit about it.

As is protocol with most exclusive sites these days, the first step is to take a style quiz which helps to determine the items you receive in your "gallery." From there, you get to choose one item. Make it good, because it's the only one you'll know for sure. Available products range from purses to saltshakers and everything in between.

Once you choose your piece, you get to select whether you want a one-time Little Black Bag ($59.95) or a monthly subscription ($49.95). You'll then see the other 2-to-4 items in your bag. If you like them all, you're on your way! If you'd like to take your chance with your LBB friends, you have the opportunity to request trades for other items you may like better. In the meantime, other users can offer you trades as well. Once you have your ideal bag, have it shipped to you! Enjoy.

You save up to 70% on brands like Kenneth Jay Lane, BCBGeneration, Betsey Johnson and Linea Pelle. It's a cool new way to get accessories on a budget! And the best part? You guys are all invited to join!
